Has been called to serve 18 months in the Riverside, California mission!! She gave her farewell speech in horseshoe bend on November 28 and is scheduled to enter the MTC on January 5th!

another wedding?!

So Jessica knows this guy named Jake.. and he loves her & I'm pretty sure she loves him to cause she said YES! Mr. Jake bascom popped the question up at cottonwood lake. The whole fam was there..

Jake had snuck out of the ranch super early and put a rock that he had engraved that said Jess and Jake engaged Sept 5, 2010 and threw it into the water on the other side of the lake.. shallow part where it was still somewhat readable.. Then he went and paddled his way across the lake.. fighting the*cold* wind mind you.. and had Jess spot the rock.. then I guess he got down on his knee.. (in a boat) and dropped the ring in the water.. (the fake ring) Jess, we all know is a smart kid and figured out that was fake pretty quick.. but then he slipped this sparky on her finger.

Its beautiful and fits Jess to a capital T. We love Jake and he actually fits into our family so well that he should just be my brother.. oh, wait. He will be.

DATE is set for NOVEMBER 18 2010

and for those of you who are keeping track.. this is the second wedding for the Ron Hale clan in 4 months. We are all calm and realize life happens..props to pops. Daughter #2 gets married.. then.. daughter #1 pops out two grandchildren and daughter#3 is now engaged. But on the bright side.. daughter #1 will not be

GI freaking normous at this wedding.. just sayin.

Monday night Colonial caught fire! Still unbelievable.. Another Trial that our family will overcome. It started on the roof, from roofers working up there. It smoldered for about an hour before it was noticed. The entire front of the building is a complete loss. The warehouse and everything else was spared. Uncle Fred opened for business the next day, And the clean up began. Never even skipped a beat. With all our manly men in the fam, Colonial will be rebuilt better then ever in no time.
And with that being said. Who is ready for August!?

okay, Seriously.. I'm really slow at getting these pictures up!! SO SORRY! Memorial day was a blast this year!! Lots of fun and lots of work.. I think we completed the entire "to do" list! Besides trap and relocate beaver.. which Tyler even sat out till 3:30am.. to "trap" it..

So this minute to win it game we got going... Was a huge hit! For those of you who couldn't make it.. the point of the game was to take the ping pong ball and bounce it on each plate and into the bowl of water.. It evolved from "try to get 7 balls in the bowl to move on" To.. How many can you get in ONE minute?!! We played this game for 5 plus hours!! and Im not even joking.. notice how dark it is outside then how light it was when we actually started.. (sorry again, the pictures are not in order.) What do you get when you combine roughly 16 adults.. 10 teenagers, 15 kids and 7 DOGS!! ??????? A fun Memorial WEEKEND!! We Had one HALE of a good time!! We got alot of work done, inside and outside, sprinkling system, stained the cabinets and removed the lights in the kitchen and replaced them.. lots of dusting, sweeping, and mowing.. and much much more!!

Worked during the day... ALL GAMES at night!! We had some serious rounds of steal the flag!! and a great game of kickball!! What a CRAZy, fun family we have!!
Its so fun when we all get together at the RANCH!! Its alot of work and effort.. but it sure pays off!! GRANDPA HALE would be PROUD! don't ya think?

September 21, 2008 –

Update on Uncle Jerr—

He had his second surgery almost two weeks ago which took about 11 hours—from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.. You can imagine—Aunt Mel was freaking out wondering what was taking so long—what could be going wrong?! The surgeons redid everything—taking a piece of his skull to rebuild bone and a tissue sample from the roof of his mouth for collagen to keep tissue from attaching to the metal plate (happened after last surgery). Poor Uncle Jerr—his head felt like it was in a vice.

It’s now a waiting game—the surgeons are still waiting for the swelling to go down to see how successful the surgery was. It’s interesting—they raise the eye higher than it needs to be to overcompensate—it should naturally drop down to normal level—last time, they overcompensated, and it was too high. So, keep up the prayers—for Jerr and for Jenna! (Jenna—we would all like an update on you! We’re so happy you got to go HOME!

Hi!

We had a great time in Nauvoo. The boys and all cast members did a superb job in all their performances. Nauvoo is such a wonderful place to visit.

I spent a couple of hours with Jerron Wednesday evening. He is grateful to see well (except peripherally), and says his eyesight gets better every day. I could feel the metal plate in his cheek sticking out the side of his face just below his eye. Also, you can see the eyeball is too low. He cannot close his eyelid all the way, and he has to be careful to keep his eye moist. He feels almost no pain, but he does have movement and feeling—kind of like his face is waking up after dentistry. Even though the doctors have said his jaw lines up and is fine, Jerr has been concerned that he cannot open his jaw very wide.

Jerr saw the surgeons yesterday, and they need to do his surgery over. They are going to wait ten days to give everything a little more time to heal. The first time, they went in just inside his upper lip next to his teeth. This time they will cut him from one ear across the hairline to the other ear and pull the skin down. Sounds awful, but they said they do it a few times every day. His bone structure surgeon expressed confidence in the restructure of his eye socket, but his eye surgeon said that eye sockets are hard to fix. Additional x-rays explained the reason for the jaw restriction—Jerr’s cheekbone was crushed in his face, but the cheekbone from the side of his face to his ear was not. It turns out when the surgeons tightened the screws of the metal plate to this uncrushed part of his cheekbone, they broke it and just discovered that today. Jerr is relieved to know the cause of the trouble with his jaw.

He agreed with me that he is on a roll with the miracles, so it just makes sense they will continue. So, keep up with all those great prayers!

Uncle Jer was involved in a Jet Ski Accident in Lake Powell. He was life flighted from the lake to the St. George hospital then uncle scott drove him to SLC. He went into surgery around 9pm and out at 3:30 am!
I'm not sure of every detail but what Ive heard I know is that He was playing the all famous frisbee game! and going for the extra point jumping off the jet ski to catch the frisbee the jet ski flipped around and hit his head. Breaking many bones in his face, and jaw. As we all know Uncle Jer is awesome and strong, We pray for him and hope for a full recovery!! It may be a long road. WE love you uncle Jer!! and well just say you won that round! YOur the bESt!! FEEL GOOD SOON!!

Hey FAM!! We all had a blast at the ranch this weekend!! lots of games, cleaning, painting, hula hooping, and not to mention the welts from ping pong!
The ranch looks awesome! Alot of time and work was put in this weekend and was well worth it!! good job everyone! The new carpet, tile, paint, and sprinkling system was a great improvement! It was a fun time!
My favorite time was the hula hoop contest! Go GRanDma!! and not to mention Jamisons little foot shuffle! Ha!! even Aunt Shawna mastered the skill! Cub... you almost had it!

Jamison lost His TOOTH!! it was hanging there and he would not let anyone touch it!! Then while he was doing the WORM it fell out! Good Times!!
